Customs Comprehensive Guarantee (CCG)

GRN management and CCG application support

Every transit movement that ends outside the UK (in the EU or another CTC country) needs a financial guarantee covering the suspended duty and VAT. Larger traders can apply for their own Customs Comprehensive Guarantee (CCG) and receive a Guarantee Reference Number (GRN). Smaller traders typically sit under a third-party CCG — ours.

We support clients on both routes: full CCG application and ongoing GRN management for established traders, or transit-by-transit guarantee cover for occasional movements.

How It Works

  1. 1Assess movement volume and value to choose the right guarantee model
  2. 2Apply for HMRC CCG (CG12) or arrange cover under our existing CCG
  3. 3Manage the GRN reference number and guarantee headroom
  4. 4Reconcile and release guarantee amounts once each transit discharges
